Help shape the future of our growing Trust

Are you an experienced procurement professional looking for a role where your expertise can make a real difference?

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Trust Procurement Manager to join our central team. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to help shape procurement across a growing Multi Academy Trust, ensuring our schools achieve the very best value from the resources entrusted to us.

Our organisation is growing, our ambitions are high, and we are investing in the people, systems and partnerships that will support our future success. We are looking for someone who can bring expertise, fresh thinking and a practical approach to help us strengthen procurement, contract management and commercial decision-making across the Trust.

A role that matters

This is a new and important role at the heart of the Trust.

As Trust Procurement Manager, you will work closely with school leaders, budget holders and our Executive Team to lead procurement activity across our family of schools. You will oversee tendering exercises, manage major contracts, develop procurement policies and processes, and help colleagues make informed commercial decisions that deliver value for money.

You will also play a key role in helping us identify opportunities for greater collaboration, improved efficiency and sustainable procurement practices, ensuring our resources are used as effectively as possible to support children and young people.

This is a job with genuine ownership and variety. No two days will be the same, and you will have the opportunity to influence how procurement develops across the Trust in the years ahead.

A culture built on trust

We are building a culture where people feel valued, trusted and heard.

You will be joining a supportive and collaborative central team where your professional expertise will be respected and your contribution will be recognised. We believe that the best ideas come from empowering people to take ownership of their work and giving them the confidence to make a difference.

We also understand that life outside work matters. We offer flexible and hybrid working arrangements and welcome applications from candidates looking to work between 0.6 and 1.0 FTE.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone with strong procurement and contract management experience who enjoys building relationships, improving processes and finding practical solutions.

You will be commercially aware, highly organised and comfortable managing competing priorities. You will have a strong understanding of procurement best practice and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Ideally, you will hold an MCIPS qualification and have experience working within a complex organisation. Experience within education would be beneficial, but we welcome applications from candidates across the public, private and voluntary sectors.

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who shares our commitment to continuous improvement and who is excited by the opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our Trust.

As a Catholic Trust, faith is at the heart of everything we do, and we ask all our staff to respect and support our ethos and values, though you do not need to share our faith to apply.

We can offer

  • The opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to a growing and ambitious Multi Academy Trust;
  • A role with genuine responsibility and the opportunity to shape how procurement develops across the organisation;
  • Membership of the generous Local Government Pension Scheme;
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements;
  • A 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme;
  • Ongoing professional development and opportunities to further develop your expertise;
  • A professional, supportive and collaborative central team;
  • A commitment to staff wellbeing, as set out in our Staff Charter.
