Job summary
Southend Medical Centre is looking to recruit an experienced and motivated salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team on a fixed-term basis from November 2026 until March 2027.
We are offering up to 4 sessions per week, with days and times negotiable. We are happy to consider face-to-face consulting, remote working, or a blended approach to suit both the successful applicant and the needs of the practice.
Main duties of the job
- Fixed-term contract from November 2026 to March 2027
- Up to 4 sessions per week
- Flexible and negotiable working pattern
- Face-to-face, remote, or hybrid working arrangements considered
- BMA model contract
- Annual sessional rate of up to £11,000 per session per annum, dependent on experience
- Annual leave entitlement in accordance with BMA terms and conditions
- Supportive clinical and administrative team
- SystmOne clinical system

Essential requirements:
Essential
- Fully registered GP with GMC licence to practise
- Previous primary care / general practice experience
- SystmOne trained
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
