An inclusive and forward-thinking primary school in Chichester is looking to recruit a motivated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team that places children’s wellbeing, development, and success at the heart of everything they do. The role will involve supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, both within the classroom and through targeted interventions.
Your Role
Support children with Special Educational Needs across KS1
Deliver 1:1 and small group support sessions
Help pupils access the curriculum and engage positively in learning
Work alongside class teachers to implement tailored support strategies
Encourage independence, confidence, and social development
Assist with behaviour management and emotional regulation where required
Contribute to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with children in schools, nurseries, youth work, or similar settings
Understanding of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or SEMH
A patient, caring, and positive attitude
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and staff
A proactive approach and willingness to learn
