SEN Teaching Assistant | Primary | Bexhill Location: Bexhill, East SussexRole: SEN Teaching Assistant – PrimaryContract: Temp-to-Perm (8am till 3:20pm) Full-timeStart Date: ASAP Every child deserves someone who believes in them. A caring and inclusive mainstream primary school in Bexhill is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide additional support for pupils with Special Educational Needs. Working alongside experienced teachers and the school’s SEND team, you’ll support children with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, learning delays and social, emotional or communication needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong relationships and making a genuine difference in children’s lives. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs. Adapt learning activities to meet individual learning styles. Support communication, emotional regulation and confidence. Encourage independence both inside and outside the classroom. Work closely with teachers, SENDCOs and external professionals. Help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. We’re Looking For Someone Who Has experience supporting children with SEND. Has at least 1 years experience working within SEN/Primary Schools Is patient, empathetic and resilient & reliable Has a DBS on the update service (or is willing to apply for one) Is available Can build trusting relationships with pupils. Is confident following individual support plans. Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience supporting Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs or SEMH is highly desirable. Essential Requirements Previous UK school & SEN experience. Right to work in the UK. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Two professional references.
