Senior Consult Only Vet

About the Role

This is a consult only senior vet position based on site at Pet Doctors Lewes, working in a permanent first opinion small animal practice. The contract is permanent, with 20 to 40 hours per week and full time or part time candidates considered.

The role sits within CVS, where colleagues are supported across both clinical and non-clinical challenges. The practice describes a collaborative environment, with support from Lumbry Park colleagues for second opinions, clinical advice and referrals, plus Cardiology and Dental Radiograph training and telemedicine support via Vet Oracle.

Pet Doctors Lewes is described as a new purpose built building, with consult rooms, separate cat and dog wards, an ultrasound machine and onsite parking.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consult only veterinary care in a first opinion small animal practice.
• Work as an experienced clinician with clinical autonomy and a varied caseload.
• Support and guide the wider team, contributing to clinical standards.
• Mentor colleagues and help create a positive client experience.
• Use referral support, telemedicine and training resources where appropriate.
