Agincare is seeking an experienced and fully qualified Senior Management Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in supporting the continued success of our growing organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys turning complex financial data into meaningful insight and influencing decision-making at a senior level.Based primarily from our Southampton office, the role will also involve regular travel to our Head Office in Dorset, giving you the opportunity to work closely with colleagues across the business.As Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting and analysis, supporting strategic decisions, and ensuring the effective delivery of management accounting activities across the organisation. Working closely with the Senior Accountant, you will provide leadership and guidance to our Management Accountants, driving accuracy, consistency, and continuous improvement while helping the finance function deliver real value to the wider business.What you’ll be doingManaging the month‑end process, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliationsProducing detailed variance analysis and clear explanations for performance movementsPreparing monthly financial performance reports, KPIs, and ad‑hoc analysis for senior stakeholdersSupporting and mentoring junior accounting staff, helping to develop capability and best practiceCollaborating with department heads on budgeting and forecasting aligned to strategic goalsMonitoring business costs and identifying opportunities to improve financial performanceEnsuring timely, accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal processesMaintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersSupporting continuous improvement across systems, processes, and reportingWhat we’re looking forFully qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA2–3 years’ experience in management accountingExperience in a senior or supervisory roleStrong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detailProficiency with financial systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skillsConfident communicator able to present financial information to non‑financial colleaguesHighly organised, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesA collaborative, professional approach and commitment to high standardsWhy join Agincare?At Agincare, the work you do has a direct impact on the services we provide and the people we support.
