Site Manager

Due to an upcoming retirement, York High School is seeking a Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation, safety, and security of our school buildings and grounds.

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will collaborate with colleagues to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. While previous experience in a similar facilities role is essential, prior experience in an educational setting is not required - full training will be provided.

York High is a mixed 11-16 school serving a genuinely comprehensive intake. The school has seen rapid and sustained change with the school earning a ‘good’ judgement from Ofsted in September 2022. You would be joining a school with a commitment to excellent pastoral care and to maximising the potential of all of our students. In addition, the Trust offers a range of staff benefits, including enrolment in the excellent Local Government Pension Scheme, 24/7 access to an employee assistance programme and a range of family friendly policies.

We would strongly encourage any prospective candidate to visit the school. Please email Dawn Becton, PA to Principal and Office Manager, at [email protected] if you would like to arrange a visit.

If you would like to know more about our school before you complete your application or have any questions about this role, please contact our Facilities Manager, Nigel Blair, on [email protected]

Further details about our school are available on our school website: www.yorkhighschool.co.uk
