Main duties of the job

As a Sous Chef at Brook House Care Home in Towcester, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality, nutritious meals for resident seniors, mainly those requiring residential and dementia care. The position requires working 38 hours per week, covering shifts from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, inclusive of every other weekend. The remuneration is set at £15.24 per hour. The role emphasizes working only straight shifts with no evening work. A successful candidate should possess a passion for cooking with an ability to support the Head Chef. A supportive induction will introduce you to the healthcare setting with opportunities to mentor and guide teams in the Chef academy.

• Applicants should have culinary skills suitable for a Sous Chef role in a care home setting, demonstrating knowledge of nutrition and meal preparation for special dietary needs. Experience in a similar role supporting a Head Chef is desirable.
