The Role:

We are seeking an exceptional, passionate, and dedicated SEND Teacher to join our inclusion team. In this role, you will work closely with our SENDCo to design and deliver high-impact, tailored learning experiences for individuals and small groups of children with complex special educational needs and disabilities. You will be instrumental in maintaining an environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, deliver, and assess targeted interventions for individuals and small groups of children with complex SEND.

Adapt and differentiate the curriculum creatively to ensure all children can access learning and achieve their full potential.

Work collaboratively with class teachers, teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies to implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and bespoke learning pathways.

Foster a highly nurturing, safe, and supportive learning environment that promotes emotional well-being, resilience, and independence.

Maintain precise records of student progress, adapting strategies continuously to meet evolving needs.

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record of teaching children with SEND within a primary school or specialist provision setting.
  • A proven commitment to helping every child fulfil their unique potential, regardless of their starting point.
  • Outstanding capability to use creative, hands-on, and innovative teaching methods to engage neurodiverse learners.
  • A warm, empathetic, and nurturing approach, backed by strong classroom management and emotional literacy skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to build trusted relationships with families, colleagues, and external specialists.
