Stop Smoking Practitioner

Turning Point’s Stop Smoking and Wellbeing Service (SSWS) in Hammersmith & Fulham provides free, evidence-based smoking cessation support to people who live, work, study or receive care within the borough.Our service delivers both a universal stop smoking offer and targeted support for groups experiencing higher rates of smoking and associated health inequalities. This includes people experiencing mental health difficulties, substance misuse, people involved with the criminal justice system, and pregnant women.We are looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate and motivated Stop Smoking Practitioner with a strong academic background in public health or a related health discipline and a genuine interest in smoking cessation, health improvement and behaviour change.As a Stop Smoking Practitioner, you will manage your own caseload, deliver evidence-based smoking cessation interventions, work collaboratively with healthcare and community partners, and contribute to outreach, health promotion and the continued development of the service.You will have opportunities to develop your career through a structured learning journey and clearly defined career pathways, enabling you to build on your strengths and work towards your longer-term professional goals.
