Teaching Assistant Virginia Water, Surrey | Full-Time | Monday to Friday | Immediate Start A specialist SEN school in Virginia Water is looking for a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team, supporting primary-aged pupils with additional learning and special educational needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with children, building positive relationships and helping pupils develop both academically and personally. About the Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the class teacher and wider support team to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEN and additional needs. Support primary-aged pupils within a specialist SEN setting Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required Help pupils engage with learning and classroom activities Support communication, confidence and independence Assist pupils with their individual learning and development Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils Work closely with teachers and the wider SEN team Support pupils who may display challenging behaviour or require additional emotional support What We’re Looking For The successful candidate will be: Caring, patient and resilient Confident working with children with SEN/SEND Able to build strong and positive relationships with pupils Adaptable and willing to support pupils with a range of needs A strong communicator and team player Passionate about helping children reach their potential Previous experience working in a school, SEN setting, care environment or with children with additional needs would be beneficial.
