The Role

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with teachers and pupils, providing high-quality support that helps children overcome barriers, engage in learning and achieve their full potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting learning both in and out of the classroom, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils' learning and development within the classroom and through small group or individual interventions.
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging learning activities and provide effective classroom support.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence and confidence in pupils.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom environments.
  • Support pupils with additional needs to access learning and make progress.
  • Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the academy and support pupil wellbeing.
