Job summary
Spire London East Hospital is looking for an experienced Theatre Manager to lead our Theatre team. This is a key leadership role within a busy department, with responsibility for maintaining high standards of patient care, supporting and developing staff, and ensuring the service runs safely and effectively.Main duties of the job
* Lead the day-to-day operation of the Theatre Department, ensuring the service is safe, efficient and delivers against key performance targets. * Support, develop and motivate the theatre team, promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability and high-quality patient care. * Manage workforce planning and department resources to meet operational demands. * Oversee recruitment, induction, training, performance management and staff development. * Create a positive learning environment through coaching, mentorship and clinical supervision. * Manage patient feedback and complaints, identifying opportunities to improve the service and patient experience. * Ensure information is recorded and handled in line with GDPR and Spire policies. * Promote and maintain best practice in health and safety, governance and patient safety.About us

- * Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with current NMC or HCPC registration.
- * Significant leadership experience within a busy theatre environment.
- * Proven experience managing and developing multidisciplinary teams.
- * Strong understanding of theatre operations, clinical governance and patient safety.
- * Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across teams.
- * Experience delivering service improvements and driving operational performance.
- * A positive and collaborative leader who leads by example.
- * Committed to delivering excellent patient care and supporting colleagues to do their best work.
