About the Role
Medivet Frimley Green is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, community-focused practice where you’ll have the freedom to develop your own clinical interests, supported by experienced vets, structured mentorship and a strong local hospital network.
You’ll have your own practice team and client base, while also being part of a closely connected group of five local Medivet practices. Through Medivet’s hub-and-spoke model, you’ll also have direct access to the nearby 24-hour hospital in Wokingham, with advanced diagnostics, modern equipment and experienced hospital teams available for more complex cases.
The role includes one weekend in six at the 24-hour hospital in Wokingham, plus on-call and Bank Holiday rota duties. It’s a chance to build confidence with a varied first-opinion caseload while continuing to grow clinically.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care in consults and surgery within a first-opinion practice setting
- Develop tailored treatment plans with clients
- Work collaboratively with the practice team and wider Medivet network
- Share skills and contribute to the development of Medivet communities
- Support management of more complex cases through the nearby 24-hour hospital in Wokingham
Requirements
- Qualified MRCVS
- Passion for clinical excellence and client care
- Team player with a collaborative approach
- Interest in continuing clinical development
- Values feedback, mentorship and career progression
