About the Role

This Veterinary Surgeon position is based at Medivet Dearne Valley 24-Hour in Thurnscoe, where you will join an experienced and supportive team in a purpose-built hospital. The role is centred on day-time clinical work, with a varied caseload and the chance to develop your clinical interests.

You will work 40 hours across 4 days each week, with a 1 in 6 full weekend rota. Part-time and flexible working are being considered for the right candidate, making this a role that can offer some flexibility alongside the demands of hospital work.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for patients in consults and surgery.
• Develop tailored treatment plans with clients.
• Work collaboratively within the hospital team.
• Support the development of Medivet communities through sharing your skills.
• Maintain regulatory, practice, and operational compliance.

Requirements

• You must be a qualified MRCVS.

About the Practice

Medivet Dearne Valley 24-Hour is a purpose-built hospital in Thurnscoe, Rotherham, part of Medivet's wider network. The team is led by Branch Partner Magda and Practice Manager Michelle.

The hospital includes a full-body CT scanner, digital radiography, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory, plus three consulting rooms, two dedicated theatres with a separate dental suite, a large preparation area, and dedicated learning and office spaces.
