About the Role
This Veterinary Surgeon role at Medivet Little Hadham offers a varied caseload that balances routine work with more complex cases, including soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics. You will be based in Little Hadham, Ware, Hertfordshire, and the role includes a 1 in 6 weekend rotation at Enfield 24-Hour Hospital, plus an average of 2 to 3 weeks of on-call duties and around 3 Bank Holidays per year. The hospital rota gives further exposure to a varied caseload and more opportunities for clinical development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care for patients in consults and surgery.
- Deliver care in line with regulatory, practice and operational compliance standards.
- Develop tailored treatment plans with clients.
- Work collaboratively within the practice team.
- Support the development of Medivet communities through your clinical input.
Requirements
- You must be a qualified MRCVS.
- A passion for clinical excellence and client care is required.
- You should be a team player.

About the Practice
Medivet Little Hadham is supported by a team of 1 Branch Partner, 1 Veterinary Surgeon, 1 Head Nurse, 1 Registered Veterinary Nurse, 3 Student Veterinary Nurses and a Mobile Veterinary Nurse. The practice is equipped with digital X-ray, in-house biochemistry and haematology analysers, plus Doppler and oscillometric blood pressure monitoring.
The caseload includes both routine and more complex work, with exposure to soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics. The setting is designed to support high-quality patient care, clinical development and close teamwork.
