Qualifications

- Qualified Teacher status

- Evidence of continuous professional development

Experience

• - Able to demonstrate outstanding teaching and excellent progress for all children of all abilities
• - Evidence of setting, implementing and evaluating action plans
• - Proven ability to manage behaviour both within class and throughout the school.
• - Experience of teaching in Key Stage One/EYFS (desirable)

Knowledge & Understanding

• -Knowledge and understanding of the breadth of subjects across the National Curriculum
• - Confident use of ICT communication skills
• - Demonstrable knowledge of assessment techniques to maximise pupil outcomes for all abilities
• - Knowledge and understanding of data analysis and the ability to use data to set targets for individual pupil progress
• - Confident in meeting the learning needs of a wide range of abilities, including children with SEND
• - Up to date knowledge & understanding of the current national education agenda

- Understanding of relevant equal opportunities, health and safety and safeguarding guidance and legislations, and with commitment to keeping up to date with changes in legislation affecting schools.

- Knowledge of the regulations around safeguarding and how to address any issues that might arise

- Knowledge of good practice guidelines to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people

- Understanding of how children & adults learn and effectively apply their learning

Communication Skills

• - The ability to communicate clearly and take into account, where appropriate, the views of others
• - Effectively communicate orally and in writing to a range of audiences

• - Experience of communicating effectively with parents and carers
• - Experience of effective communication with teaching assistants
