Line Producer – Digital Content
Overview
We are looking for a seasoned, highly collaborative Line Producer to help oversee production across a fast-paced slate of digital content. This person will be a key operational and financial partner to Production, Programming, Creative and Finance, helping teams execute ambitious content efficiently, responsibly and at a high level.
The ideal candidate is an experienced production leader who is equally comfortable building a budget from the ground up, reviewing a cost report, managing multiple productions simultaneously and working alongside creative teams to find practical solutions when plans change.
This role requires someone who sees around corners. We are looking for a proactive, solutions-oriented producer who identifies potential challenges early, understands their financial and production impact, and comes to the table with thoughtful options and recommendations.

- Production & Financial Acumen – Connects creative and operational decisions to budget, schedule and production impact.
- Strategic Problem Solving – Anticipates challenges and develops thoughtful, practical solutions.
- Organization & Prioritization – Manages multiple productions, competing priorities and deadlines with accuracy and follow-through.
- Communication & Collaboration – Builds strong cross-functional relationships and keeps stakeholders aligned.
- Judgment & Adaptability – Makes sound decisions, remains calm under pressure and finds a path forward when priorities shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Own Production Budgets & Financial Oversight: Build, manage, and track production budgets, costs & commitments from forecasting through final actuals
- Partner closely with Production Accounting and Finance to ensure costs, commitments and projections are accurate and current.
- Review and approve production expenses, invoices, purchase orders, payroll and other project costs as appropriate.
- Negotiate and manage crew, vendors, equipment, locations and other production-related costs.
- Lead Production Planning & Execution: Direct multiple productions through all stages while translating creative concepts into actionable production plans.
- Partner with Production leadership to determine appropriate staffing, crew and outside production resources based on the needs and scale of each project.
- Maintain clear, accurate and up-to-date production documentation.
- Work with the production management team to ensure productions operate in accordance with applicable labor laws, safety requirements, insurance requirements and company policies.
- Regularly assess project health and course correct as needed to keep productions on budget and on schedule.
- Anticipate Challenges & Drive Solutions: Proactively identify production, budget, operational & schedule risks early and present viable solutions.
- Evaluate creative requests through both a production and financial lens without losing sight of the creative goal.
- Identify efficiencies across productions, including opportunities to share resources, consolidate needs and improve workflows.
- Support the development and implementation of scalable production processes, tools and best practices.
- Partner Across Teams: Build & lead through strong cross-functional alignment; maintaining a calm, collaborative & solutions-oriented approach– particularly when priorities shift or unexpected challenges arise.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressively responsible production management and/or line producing experience within digital media, entertainment, unscripted, branded content, studio or a similarly fast-paced production environment.
- Significant hands-on experience managing multiple productions simultaneously.
- Advanced proficiency in Movie Magic Budgeting is required.
- Strong command of Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Demonstrated experience creating and managing production budgets, cost trackers, cost reports and financial forecasts.
- Strong understanding of production accounting principles, including actuals, commitments, accruals, ETCs and EFCs.
- Deep understanding of physical production from pre-production through production, post and final delivery.
- Experience working across productions of varying scale and budget.
- Strong understanding of crew structures, rates, vendors, equipment, locations and other production cost drivers.
- Experience working effectively with creative, production, finance and senior leadership.
What Success Looks Like
You know where every production stands – creatively, operationally and financially.
Budgets and cost reports are accurate and current. Risks are surfaced early. Teams have the information they need to make smart decisions. When something changes, you understand the downstream impact and help determine the best path forward.
Most importantly, you are a partner to the team: someone who helps find the “how” rather than simply saying something cannot be done.
Benefits & Perks
We offer a competitive benefits package and a few extras that make SMOSH an employee forward company, including:
- Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life and long-term disability coverage, plus a 401(k) contribution.
- Time Off: 29+ paid holiday closures, additional PTO accruals, sick leave + more
- And More: Employee discounts, company merch, an employee centered office space, and other perks that come with being part of the team.
