Were looking for an experienced and highly skilled Consultant General Surgeon to join our dedicated team at the Practice Plus Group Hospital Birmingham. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality elective care in a modern, brand new, purpose-built hospital.

Youll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering specialist care, with first-line cover provided by RMOs, the on-call responsibility is minimal and shared on a rota with colleagues.

Main duties of the job

As our General Surgeon, you will provide a full range of surgical diagnosis, treatment and care to inpatients, day patients and outpatients who require general surgery.

Whilst a full time working week will comprise 40 hours (10 PAs) , working patterns will be flexible and may entail an ad-hoc mix of late evenings and weekend work to meet the requirements of the unit. Part Time applications will also be considered.

As a key member of the centres team you will be working closely with our team of Consultants across a wide range of specialisms and the hospitals Medical Director, and local Leadership Team.
