We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive GP surgery team. Main duties of the job

The role will involve providing a range of general practice nursing services, including health checks, chronic disease management, child and adult immunisations, travel vaccinations, cervical screening and other clinical duties appropriate to your experience and training.

We currently have 4900 registered patients.

We are a EMIS Web and Paper light Practice and part of West Knowsley Primary Care Network.

Our medical team is currently made up of 2 Partners, 1 Salaried GP, 1 Senior Clinical Pharmacist, 1 ANP, 1 GP Registrar and 1 prescribing Practice Nurse. We are supported by PCN Pharmacists, GPs, Mental Health Nurses, Physiotherapists, SPLW and Care-Coordinators. We hold monthly practice meetings, partners meetings, Vulnerable Adult, Safeguarding and GSF Meetings. We are passionate and proud to be a Training practice

Experience

Essential

  • Immunisation and vaccination training.
  • Cervical screening qualification/training
Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered Nurse (Adult) with a valid NMC registration.
  • Immunisation and vaccination training.
  • Cervical screening qualification/training.

Desirable

  • Practice Nurse/General Practice Nursing qualification or relevant experience.
  • Training or qualification in travel health and travel vaccinations.
  • Training in chronic disease management.
  • Relevant clinical skills courses, such as diabetes, respiratory disease or hypertension management.
