Job summary

We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse - Ward 7B who share our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

Ward 7B is a urology and colorectal surgery, busy andfast paced ward with varying patient concerns andillnesses. No two days are the same, which keeps thejob interesting.We are a thirty bedded surgical ward, withopportunities to learn about two very interesting anddiverse specialities.

The role requires working days/ nights/ weekdays/weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care needs of patients from admission (or before) to discharge, with the involvement of patients and their relatives/carers.

To ensure a high standard of nursing care is always performed and assists in the review and regular update of these standard in accordance with the NMC code of professional conduct and trust polices.

Participate within a team of nurse and support workers in providing continuity of patient care, patients physical, social, and psychological needs are met.

Participate in internal shift rotation to provide 24-hour patient care, this involves working days, nights, and weekends.

Communicate effectively and work in partnership with patients, nursing collages, the Multidisciplinary Team, and all other relevant personnel.

Carry out clinical procedure and treatments in line with the patient's plan of care.
