About the Role
Harbour Veterinary Group is looking to welcome a Small Animal Vet into its team in Havant. The role is based at the new purpose built site, with support from the wider group, and suits someone who enjoys a blend of consults and operations.
You'll be joining a small animal group with vets, nurses, PCAs and receptionists across its sites. The Havant practice includes separate cat and dog wards, a dental suite and three consult rooms. Full or part time hours can be considered, some travel between branch sites is required, and occasional sole charge is part of the position.
The practice is keen to speak with established GP Veterinary Surgeons as well as those earlier in their career. It is also happy to support someone working towards a certificate.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out a mix of consults and operations in a first opinion small animal setting.
- Work from the new purpose built Havant site and support care across branch sites where needed.
- Take the lead on surgical and medical cases, including diagnostic investigations.
- Provide occasional sole charge cover when required.
- Build client relationships and help develop your own client base with team support.
- Contribute to a culture where best practice and clinical improvement are shared.
Requirements
- You are a Veterinary Surgeon with a small animal focus.
- You should be comfortable with a mix of consults and ops.
- Confidence with sole charge, or a willingness to grow into it, is important.
- The practice is open to established GP Veterinary Surgeons and those early in their career.
- You should be keen to develop further, including working towards a certificate if that interests you.
- Strong client care, empathy and team working are important in the role.
