About the Role

This is a permanent Veterinary Surgeon role working on site across two split sites, Godalming and Normandy, within a first opinion setting. The contract is full time for up to 42 hours per week, part time will also be considered.

The rota is set at 4 days per week with 1 in 4 Saturdays, and weekend cover runs from 8:30am to 4pm. The salary is up to £65,000 per annum DOE, FTE.

You'll be joining a small animal specialist site where clinicians are encouraged to make the best decisions, improvement is welcomed, and best practice is shared. CVS also highlights access to learning, on the job training, and collaboration with skilled colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first opinion small animal veterinary care across the Normandy and Godalming sites.
  • Take the lead on surgical and medical cases.
  • Carry out diagnostic investigations.
  • Manage a varied caseload with a strong level of clinical autonomy.
  • Support colleagues and contribute to shaping clinical standards.
  • Deliver reassuring client care and clear communication.

Requirements

  • Experienced small animal vet, ideally with 3 to 4 plus years of experience.
  • Strong medical knowledge.
  • Experience in routine and emergency surgery.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A passion for excellent care and client service.
  • Confidence to mentor and support colleagues is valued.
